About Us
In 1989, our owner Kim went to a job interview for a window covering company. A year later, the company closed down. Her husband talked her into starting her own window covering business over 29 years ago. Kim’s sister-in-law came up with the name Cover Your Windows.
Kim’s personal philosophy is to be honest with people. She puts her heart and soul into every project. Kim has clients calling on behalf of their children, years after she did a job for them. Recently, Kim won a lifetime achievement award from the East Gwillimbury Chamber of Commerce in November 2013.
Kim also believes in giving back. In 2004 she went to South Africa with blankets and helped the Red Cross. Charity runs in her family. Every year since Hurricane Katrina, she and her family have gone down to America to help rebuild homes hit by hurricanes and tornadoes.
In 2019, Kim was nominated for the ‘Women Entrepreneur of the Year’ award by the East Gwillimbury Chamber of Commerce.
